Opportunity: 2016 Peggy Glanville-Hicks Residency
Applications are now open for the 2016 Peggy Glanville-Hicks Residency. This residency is offered for a 12-month period from January to December 2016. It is named after composer Peggy Glanville-Hicks, who bequeathed her house - a three-bedroom terrace in Sydney's Paddington area - as a residence for composers. The residency is open to individuals only.
The resident will receive $20,000 towards living costs, on-costs, travel and administration for the period of their residency. Please note that current Australia Council Music Fellowship recipients are not eligible to apply.
Applications deadline is 2 June 2015. Applicants are encouraged to discuss their application with the Australian Council grants team - contacts and all details on the Australia Council website.
The Peggy Glanville-Hicks residency is offered by the Australia Council for the Arts in partnership with the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composers' Trust. Past residents include Barney McAll (2015), Gordon Kerry, Liza Lim, Julian Yu, Mary Finsterer, Andrew Ford, Julian Day, Cat Hope, Matthew Hindson and Elena Kats-Chernin.
