Opportunity: 2013 Symphony Australia TSO Composers’ School
Applications are now open for the Symphony Australia TSO Composers' School, organised in Hobart on 14-19 October 2013. The School is a unique opportunity to experience an intense week of compositional training, have a work rehearsed and performed by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and recorded by ABC Classic FM.
The 2013 staff for the program includes conductor Ken Young, and composers Maria Grenfell, Andrew Schultz and Paul Stanhope.
Applicants should submit an original orchestral score of 5-8 minutes, scored for double wind orchestra - please read the guidelines before applying. Deadline for applications is Friday 31 May 2013.
A maximum of five composers will be accepted for the program, and travel and accommodation for participants will be arranged by the TSO. Previous participants and applicants are eligible to apply.
