2019 European Jazz Conference: Aviva Endean

Composer, improviser and clarinettist Aviva Endean will head for the forthcoming 2019 European Jazz Conference in Italy as the AMC's Artistic Associate. The AMC is offering the opportunity, for the first time, as part of our Australian Jazz in Europe project. The conference takes place in Novara, Italy, on 12-15 September 2019, presented by the Europe Jazz Network.

Aviva Endean's work with sound spans a wide variety of performance contexts including experimental and improvised music, creating immersive sonic environments, new chamber music, band projects, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. The 2020 European Jazz Conference will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, in September 2020. The AMC will again be offering an Artistic Associate role for an artist to attend - stay tuned for further details on this in early 2020.

2020 Jazzahead!

The 2020 Jazzahead! industry event takes place in Bremen from 23 to 26 April 2020, and the AMC will again be involved with SOUNDS AUSTRALIA in supporting the Australian delegation. Applications for the Jazzahead! Showcase Festival will open on 5 September and close on 31 October 2019. Apply via the Jazzahead! website. Bands selected for showcasing will be announced in December 2019.

The AMC will again be offering an Artistic Associate role for an artist to attend Jazzahead - stay tuned for the call for EOIs later this year.
