Australia Council review - take part in online survey

People from across all art forms and industry groups are invited to take part in an online survey, launched last week as part of the independent review of the Australia Council. The aim of the survey is to identify a broad range of views about the relevance and the support the agency has provided to the arts, culture and creative industries. The online survey will be available until 5pm AEDT, Friday 9 March 2012.

According to arts minister Simon Crean, many of the 450 public submissions received during the public consultation on the National Cultural Policy discussion paper brought up the role of the agency:

'Chairs of the Review, Mr Angus James and Ms Gabrielle Trainor, want to follow on from the public consultation and ask the sector if the original purpose of the Australia Council remains relevant today. As part of their review, the Chairs have developed an online survey over the last few weeks which is designed to draw out the sector's views and to see what changes, if any, they would like to see made to the Australia Council. The Australia Council represents a significant part of our support for the arts and cultural sector and it is vital that the agency continues to play a significant role as we develop the National Cultural Policy.'

The Chairs of the review strongly encourage interested parties to respond to the online survey and give feedback on what aspects of the agency can be improved.

Trying to fill in the online survey!

I tried to complete the Australia Council online survey, got 80% of the way through it, both clicking answers and typing some in) and the rotten thing froze. Sorry AC, not taking the time to try again!
