35th Asian Composers League Conference and Festival, Taiwan

Works by Australian composers Bruce Crossman, Eve Duncan and Clare Maclean have been selected for the program of the 35th Asian Composers League Conference and Festival in Taiwan on 19-23 October 2018. In all, 65 works will be performed out of the 238 submissions sent by the ACL member organisations in 13 countries.

Australian compositions selected are: Maclean's choral work Above the Water (2015), Crossman's Dying of the Light: Pacific Resonance for Peter (2014) for soprano saxophone, and Duncan's percussion quartet Seahorses (2009). In addition, Michael Bakrnčev will represent Australia at the Asian Composers' League Young Composer Competition.

The Australian delegation will also include Andrián Pertout who will present a paper entitled Un'immagine mobile dell'eternità (2017) at the conference component of the festival.
