Work Overview
The inception of this piece occurred in 2003 when I sat on a lake in Ontario and heard the haunting call of the Common Loon. Midnight Loon was written in response to a recording of this bird which I found in the Cornell Lab of Ornithology on the Macaulay Library website. My thanks to the Macaulay Library for the use of this recording.
