Product details

This is the trio's seventh release and picks up where the 2016 Bell and Art Music Awards nominated album, Alister Spence Trio: Live, left off. Recorded in two sessions at Music Feeds Studio in 2014 and Studios 301 in 2016, this album confirms the trio's brilliant musicianship, masterful playing and imaginative improvisational skills. With a history of 20 years performing together, the trio have a seamless improvising language - endlessly surprising, lyrical and textural. Not everything but enough will draw you deeper into their captivating musical world.

"...often exhilarating, sometimes meditative. Elements often move in different dimensions, different mood."
"Spence is an outstanding pianist in an impressive idiomatic span. in his free or informal improvising he sometimes guides the crashing crippled unpredictably spaced steps of dissonant chords across the flow of radiant melodic pianism which draws from both jazz and classical music..." John Clare Music Trust
