Product details
Satsuki Odamura's CD features music by a range of Australian composers whose approach to writing for the koto differs markedly. Some composers have developed an intimate relationship with Japanese tablature specifically in order to compose their piece, while others have combined the koto with Western instruments.
The collected works bring together a kaleidoscope of characters, cultures and sounds. The kit guides students through analytical layers and viewpoints.
Includes CD, seven study scores and teacher's text.
Contents note: Includes: Teacher's booklet -- CD 'Burning house" (Vox Australis VAST022-2) -- Study scores: 'In other ways your image' by Sarah de Jong ; 'Inner states' by Anne Norman ; 'Alien moon' by Tony Lewis ; 'Burning house' by Liza Lim ; 'Unreal fair' by Sarah de Jong -- Score: 'Cloudy mountain' by Anne Boyd.
